10 Month Stats

Landon went to the Dr. yesterday and here is how he is growing. He was 19.5 lbs (25%) and 30" long (75%). His head was at 18.5" and I forgot to ask the percentile on this one. He is on target for all development.

Today is his 10 month birthday so I will post his picture along with his 10 month post in the next few day.

Embrace the Camera: Music Class

As part of Landon's Christmas we signed him up for music classes. Yes, I know this may sound silly for us to sign a 9 month old up for music classes but, they are specifically designed for children from birth to 4 years. The classes are by My First Music Discovery Class and I have to say they are amazing.

I really wanted something that Landon and I could do together since I spend alot of time at work. I cannot even begin to tell you how much he has enjoyed these classes. I have REALLY enjoyed taking him. Tomorrow is our last class but, we are certain to be back for the spring semester.

Last week, when Grammie was in town to visit Landon she came to the class too and took pictures of us. The pictures are not fantastic because we were moving so much but, I love to see myself being a mommy. Sometimes, I am so in the moment that it's over in a flash and I feel like I missed it. So this week we are embracing the camera at music class.

9 Months

Well, I have decided to go ahead and do Landon's 9 month post without his picture. I have it, I just can't get it on the computer. Soon though, soon. Here is what he has been up to though...
  • Crawling...full on hands and knees, crawling. EVERYWHERE!Pulling up on EVERYTHING!!!
  • He started eating table food. He loves broccoli, any kind of bread, black-eyed peas, carrots sweet potatoes and green beans.
  • He also started eating finger foods and loves his puffs and yogurt melts.
  • He also eats meat now chicken, turkey and beef...yes, I know, there were a lot of eating related milestones this month.
  • He is officially and fully weaned...I have to say I have mixed emotions about this,
  • He signs for milk and is working on his signs for eat and more. Those two are still a little confusing.
  • His favorite show to watch is Wheel of Fortune. I have no idea why he likes this but he is very quiet when it is on. Sesame Street is a close second.
  • He is learning to "pat-pat" the dogs and to clap.
  • If music is on his is going to be dancing well, bouncing up and down.
  • Size 3 diapers finally and 6-9 month clothing with some 12 months mixed in.
  • We had to lower the crib mattress because he kept hanging over the side rail.
Oh Sweet Landon, I am so amazed at how fast you are growing. I love you more and more every day. You have the sweetest personality and I love to hear that sweet little laugh. You bring more happiness into our world than I ever could have imagined and I love watching you grow up. Even though, I secretly wish you would stay my little baby forever! I love you to the moon and back!

Landon's First Christmas

Here are some of the highlights from Landon's first Christmas...

Santa came to our house early since we were traveling to Texas. Here is what
he brought...

We took it out for a spin and he loved it (even though you can't tell by the expression on his face).

Once we were in Texas we had lots of fun cousin time...

...and family time

Landon had fun opening presents. He has more than he could ever ask for.

My post will abruptly stop here for now because my computer is acting crazy and I can't get more pictures added. I will update this post once it is straightened out. All in all though we had a fantastic Christmas!

8 Months

Here is what my little man has been up to.

* He has 2 teeth now...and his bit me a few times.
* He waves hi or bye-bye, which ever you prefer and it is so darn cute!
* Size 2 diapers still fit and he wears 6-9 months clothes
* We have started finger foods and he really loves yogurt melts. If I need to keep him entertained I can put him in the high chair with a few of these.
* He has a really good army crawl and he is fast. He hasn't moved on all 4 yet except for just a few seconds.
* He climbs on everything and now has to be strapped into the highchair because he has on occasion decided to stand up and turn around.
* Any random object is more entertaining than any toys he may have.
* He has started eating meat, but still no cereal or apples.
* He is sleeping better at night now but, wakes up promptly at 7:30 each morning.
* Pinching and pulling hair is pretty common if you are holding him mostly because he is trying to climb all over.
* He is 100% all boy! Rough and tumble ready at any moment.
* He also drinks out of a cup...like a big boy (sniff, sniff)

And now here he is...My 8 Month Old!

To whom it may concern...

To whom it may concern,

I received your very anonymous little letter in the mail the other day. It came on a day when I was certainly in need of cheering up. As you letter stated, it did in fact, brighten my day. I thank you for the $10 tucked away inside. I will use it to by myself a little Christmas treat. What a fun and mysterious way to send a smile to someone. I hope to do the same for someone else in return.

Thanks Again (Who ever you are!)
